St Croix has Something
for EveryoneWhether you are looking to soak up the sun on one of our beautiful beaches, relax under a palm tree while getting a massage, take in a round of golf, explore our hiking trails and National Parks or become a master snorkeler, St. Croix can accommodate all of that…and more. We’ve compiled a What to Do on St Croix list of some of our favorites as just a sample of all the things you can do on your vacation.
Snorkeling & Sailing
Snorkeling Buck Island National Park Underwater Monument is a must for every visitor to St. Croix. The uninhabited island is a short boat ride away from St. Croix and the snorkel trail is one of two underwater National Monuments in the United States. Schedule a fun filled sail with a BBQ lunch, a private romantic sail for two, or a family adventure with one of St. Croix’s licensed and skilled island captains. Tours include snorkel gear, instructions and a snorkel guide. We love Caribbean Sea Adventures and Big Beards Adventure Tours
Been there done that? Try snorkeling along the reef inside St Croix’s East End Marine Park with Captain Dee aboard Zulu!
Kayak
Explore the calm and protected waters of Salt River National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve while learning about the history of St. Croix, the island’s flora and fauna and exploring Indian burial grounds. Looking for an evening activity? The moonlight kayak tour of the Salt River Biobay is an unforgettable experience. Join Sea Thru Kayaks, watch the sunset and listen to legends as you watch the bioluminescence dance on the water.
Scuba Diving
St. Croix is one of the best dive spots in the Caribbean. Whether you are a seasoned pro interested in diving The Wall or The Vertigo or a first timer, St. Croix is a diver’s paradise. Beginners can be trained and in the water in no time. Instruction can be done at your villa followed by shore dives, drift dives or boat dives. Our many great dive operators have boats leaving from several spots on the island. Grab tanks from N2 The Blue Dive Shop, walk across the street and dive the Frederiksted Pier, listed as one of the top 3 pier dives in the world! Or head to the world famous Cane Bay Wall and grab gear from Cane Bay Dive Shop.
Deep Sea Fishing
Arrange for a half or full day fishing charter aboard one of St. Croix’s fishing boats. St. Croix’s Coast Guard licensed Captains and crews are experienced fishing guides. The “Big Catch” (whether it’s Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo or Blue Marlin) can be yours. Check out St Croix Deep Blue Charters or Fishing St Croix for options!
Land Tours
Explore the Botanical Gardens, the Cruzan Rum Distillery, an 18th century Danish Plantation house, the town of Frederiksted and the tropical Rain Forest and Salt River. Take an off-road tour and end up at the tide pools for a cooling swim. There are many tours that can be arranged around your needs and schedule so you can explore all that St. Croix has to offer!
Hiking
St. Croix has many beautiful hiking trails ranging from moderate to challenging and professional hiking guides can be arranged. Explore St. Croix with a native Cruzan who specializes in the flora and fauna of the island. Hikes range from a few hours to an all-day adventure along the beach. You can find a list of hikes and tours at Crucian Heritage and Nature Tourism (CHANT)
Golf
With three golf courses on St. Croix, golfers will enjoy the thrill of playing a variety of courses. Enjoy the scenic ocean and mountain views from the Buccaneer and Carambola Golf Club’s challenging 18 hole courses, and The Reef’s 9 hole course. Rental clubs are also available.
Massage and Wellness
